Weber river a.k.a The White House

An Dinh

Welcome to the White House.

Here are some pictures from our trip to the Weber river.

Caddis were fluttering everywhere in preparation for the Mother's Day Caddis hatch.   It was a rare chance to catch fish from the Weber on dry flies.  The Weber tends to fish best with nymphs.

Below: Mr. brown contemplates gobbling up Mrs. Caddis.

We hooked a few on dries with the Ito.  The long 14' 7 inch reach allowed us to fish the opposite bank without alerting fish.

Not safe on top...not safe below for Mr. Brown

Darker body caddis patterns took a few more fish.  Size 16-18.  Fished right on the bottom with plenty of weight.

Fish were hugging the bottom in deeper pools and slots below drop offs.

Check out how camouflaged they are in the water.
